A little bit about me
Hello, I’m Olivia [She/her] that's me and my husband above having the time of our lives running through the Scottish highlands in the middle of a thunderstorm on our elopement day. I'm sure you've guessed by now I am a wedding and elopement photographer based in lovely Lancashire covering weddings all across the North west, UK and abroad.
When I’m not photographing weddings or tucked away editing you’ll find me curled up with a book (thriller, romance and fantasy recommendations always welcome), out exploring with my husband Ryan, going to gigs (I LOVE pop punk & indie) or following our cats Dallas and Rudi round the house forcing them to cuddle me. One of my biggest loves in life is travel my bucket list is ridiculously long. I will always have time to discuss travel. Some of my favourite places I’ve been are Vietnam, Iceland, Scotland, India and Madeira even narrowing it down to that shortlist was unbelievably difficult.
I’m also a qualified reiki & sound healer. I adored attending reiki sessions and sound baths so over 2024-2025 it seemed a great time to dive in more and become qualified and offer both reiki and sound healing to others. I did my sound healing qualification in Rishikesh India and it was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever done.
I'm a soppy romantic and love hearing tales of how lovers met (both funny and soppy) and especially love all the mushy films and books that cater to that (those trashy teen films on Netflix are my guilty pleasure). My hair colour changes very regularly and I can no longer count how many times it has flipped between pink, orange, blonde and blue.
My wedding loves
Days planned around couples loves and interests rather than traditions you don’t love
Anything outdoors no matter the weather- I will always bring weather sleeves for my cameras and a waterproof coat along
LOTS of dancing
Untraditional plans/ venues/ outfits I believe weddings should be as unique as you are!
Dirty trains on dresses, the dirtier the dress/ skirt/ cape the more fun you’ve had (who wants to spend the day carrying their dress worrying when you can be having fun)
Intimate weddings/ elopements
Things I love (besides weddings and photography)
Dallas, our rescue cat that is currently on a mission to loose 2kg by order of the vet.
Rudi, the smallest member of the family who is definitely the naughty chaos causing cat of the house.
Ryan (he’s the ying to my yang, calms me down when I'm getting over excited/ a little crazy and begrudgingly models for my test shots from time to time)
My family- I'm the youngest of 3 and proud auntie to 3 nephews and two nieces who I adore.
Colour my house is full of colour and art - very much a maximalist
Cooking - I love to experiment in the kitchen after a day of editing and one of my favourite holiday activities is to do a cooking class.
Candles/ incense- actual unhealthy obsession level, one must be burning at all times in my house!
Travelling- I love nothing more than to visit new places and explore; I will never not have time to discuss travel plans or swap tips!
Dr Martens- I own a ridiculous amount I even had 2 different pairs for my own wedding because I’m not a heels person
Reading- like most people who got into reading in the past couple of years ACOTAR got me in a chokehold and now I am obsessed and currently on a book buying ban that is not going well!
I’m not so keen on….
Slugs
Liquorice
Hot drinks (Unapologetically not a fan of tea or coffee) - will drink a masala chai though
The snow- we live in the dip of a valley and its a nightmare (did like it while on holiday in Iceland)
Bigots
The Patriarchy
Where it all began
Many many boxes of old photographs experimenting at home and on holiday as a child quickly progressed into a passion. Fast forward 10 years and I moved to Newport to study Documentary Photography at university. After university I travelled to beautiful India to teach photography with charity Basti Ram; one of the most amazing experiences in my life and I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity. Staying true to my degree, I love to shoot weddings in a documentary style capturing all the little details that make your day unique and candid moments that create the smiles, tears and laughter as the day unfolds. I like to keep things nice and relaxed without the hours stood smiling awkwardly posing for pictures; with a few fun formal pictures in between filled with lots of laughter.
Now you know a little bit more about me I'd love to hear about you and your plans, drop me a message to say hello!
